The Zen Roots seal

ABOUT

The seal is the author.

Published by Ledgerstone Press.

Zen Roots is a small, growing shelf of short books. Each one holds a single state, and each one is meant to be returned to rather than finished.

There is no personal byline. The mark on every cover is the seal, and the seal is the author. The work belongs to the Library, not to a name — which is the way it was meant to be read: quietly, without a face attached.

The covers vary only in color. The voice on the recordings stays the same from one volume to the next. The quiet is part of the point.

What the Library is for.

Not techniques. Not lessons. Not a program to complete. The books are short on purpose — a place to stand for a few minutes while the noise moves farther off, in print and read aloud.

The volumes gather under three states: to settle, to orient, to restore. There is no order to read them in, and no level to reach. New volumes arrive on a regular cadence.
